Greenberg Quinlan Rosner wishes to congratulate its client Luiz Fernando Pezao for winning the Rio de Janeiro Governorship last Sunday. Pezao started his campaign as vice governor with only 5 percent of the vote in baseline surveys conducted by GQR in December 2013, though with clear signs that he could grow his base of support. After the incumbent Governor Sergio Cabral resigned, Pezao took office and ran a disciplined campaign. Throughout the campaign, Pezao highlighted his record as vice governor helping citizens devastated by the 2011 floods and committed to consolidate, expand and improve Cabral´s popular pacification program in favelas. This past Sunday, Pezao decisively won the second run against Evangelical Pastor Marcelo Crivella 56 to 44 percent.

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, led by Executive Vice President Jeremy Rosner and Vice President Ana Iparraguirre, is proud to have supported Luiz Fernando Pezao´s campaign with focus groups, a state-wide survey and strategic advice.
