As a company, we are particularly focused on the fact that women make up only one in five parliamentarians world-wide.  We understand the unique challenges that women face running for office and we see the impact they have when elected, from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to Angela Merkel to Aung San Suu Kyi to Nancy Pelosi.

GQR has supported dozens of women leaders in the US and around the world, from city councilwomen to governors to heads of state.  In Australia we helped Julia Gillard, the country’s first woman prime minister, win difficult snap elections in 2010. In Bermuda, we helped Premier Paula Cox lead her party into challenging general elections in 2012. We have also worked closely with the National Democratic Institute on opinion research focused on issues affecting women in Iraq and Yemen.  Within our own borders, we are proud to have helped elect Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN), Senator Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI), Governor Maggie Hassan (NH), and Representative Gabrielle Giffords (AZ) among many others.  We also support the efforts of various women’s advocacy organizations such as Emily’s List, Naral Pro-Choice America, Planned Parenthood, and Women’s Voices Women Vote.

GQR is proud to host the next generation of female pollsters and consultants.  Anna Greenberg, Partner and Senior Vice President, is a leading voice on U.S. issues such as women’s reproductive health and rights, while Vice Presidents Missy Egelsky, Ana Iparraguirre, and Kristi Lowe work with clients around the country and around the world to help progressive leaders and causes.

Today we honor the achievements of all of our women leaders and the progressive organizations that advance women’s rights and champion the challenges women continue to face.
