Evan McKee is an Intern at GQR and an emerging voice in American government and juvenile justice reform. Previously, he served as a Research Assistant at the Center for Youth Justice (formerly the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform), contributing to projects focused on improving outcomes within the juvenile justice system.

Academically, Evan holds an M.A. in American Government from Georgetown University, where his thesis investigated the use of solitary confinement on juveniles in the U.S., and a B.A. in Political Science from Iowa State University. He is the recipient of the Burns “Bud” Roper Fellow Award (AAPOR). Additionally, he holds associate’s degrees from both the Colorado Film School and Front Range Community College.

In his free time, Evan enjoys photography, watching basketball, and going to concerts.
