Support for Background Checks Continues in States Where Senators Voted “No”

The U.S. Senate failed to pass expanded background checks despite support from 81 percent of voters nationally [1]. Since then, public polling has documented the fall-out for many senators who cast no votes. Five new surveys in states represented by senators who voted against S649 also show huge public support for background checks, even in gun friendly states like Alaska and North Dakota.
