Tia Seltzer, Senior Director, has over 7 years of experience polling for Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations. She joined GQR in 2021 as a Senior Associate and helped Democrats maintain a majority in the Senate and keep Democrats competitive in the House by conducting research for Senator Michael Bennet, Congressman Chris Pappas, the DSCC, SMP, and the DCCC. She also polls for Johns Hopkins Center Livable Future as they work to promote a more sustainable and equitable agricultural future.  Prior to GQR, she was the Deputy Director of Polling and Modeling at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for the 2020 cycle and helped Democrats maintain a crucial majority.

In addition to working at the DCCC, Tia worked two election cycles at Tulchin Research where she conducted strategic polling research for political clients from the Presidential level (Bernie Sanders 2016) to competitive federal, statewide, legislative, ballot propositions, and local level races, as well as for the ACLU, Defenders of Wildlife, Equality California, and other progressive environmental and civil rights organizations. In 2019, she conducted research for then Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer – specifically helping him prepare for the Senate impeachment trials.

Tia graduated from the University of California, San Diego, where she majored in international studies and political science. She currently lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband and dog Penelope.
