Sophia Zephir is a Project Associate at GQR where she assists with surveys, focus groups, and other forms of public opinion research for international campaigns, businesses, and organizations. She also contributes to GQR’s Digital Team’s research, monitoring, and consultation of narratives targeting specific Democrat leaders and social listening on major social platforms for research on disinformation narratives. Throughout most of 2021, Sophia produced daily news reports covering fake news, cybersecurity, and platform changes to a coalition of progressive groups and committees related to battling online disinformation. Most recently she has produced daily reports of online articles and social media posts concerning leading Democrat officials.
Before joining GQR, Sophia conducted legal research at an immigration law firm and has worked with nonprofits and non-governmental advocacy groups abroad. She has a BA in International Relations with a focus on international systems and world order and a minor in French from Boston University. So far, Sophia has lived in the United States, Caribbean, and Europe and is trilingual.
