Sophia Alvarado is a 2022 Digital Research Associate with GQR, where she provides research and insight into political conversations across the US and helps map and respond to the impact of these conversations. Prior to joining GQR, Sophia worked as a research assistant for Neu Summit Strategies where she conducted targeted research on the rise of Christian Nationalism in the United States. She also has experience with consumer privacy and tech accountability, having worked as an operations assistant for a consumer data protection company in Berkeley, CA.
Sophia received her BA from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies where she majored in International Relations and concentrated on the Middle East and North Africa, and International Systems and World Order. Sophia is currently training for an April 2023 ultra-marathon in Zion National Park.
