Jessica Reis is a pollster and political communication consultant with GQR. She has spent the last 12 years working with the firm on a diverse set of challenges: she has managed and advised political campaigns around the globe; she has overseen research in difficult environments, such as in Iraq and Yemen; and she has brought her insights to corporate clients to improve their reputations.
Reis has worked extensively in Latin America – most recently on campaigns in Mexico, Panama, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Honduras. In 2016, she led GQR’s public polling in the Dominican Republic, and was the most accurate pollster in predicting the result. She has also led research and advised clients in Western and Eastern Europe, India, the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia.
In the US, Reis has conducted nationwide polls, and state research in California, DC, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington. She works with leading corporations – in particular in the health care, technology, and aircraft/airline sectors – to measure reputation and develop communication strategies. As part of this, she has overseen extensive research among US opinion elites, including DC-area government and congressional elites.
Reis also works in support of advocacy organizations and progressive groups, including leading the firm’s work for the Center for Reproductive Rights, the Walton Family Foundation, and the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press.
She has been a guest lecturer at The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, has spoken publicly on electing female leaders, and has led trainings around the world on research methodologies.
Reis earned her Bachelor’s degree in Regional and Comparative Studies, focusing on the political economies of Latin America and the US, from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She has lived abroad in Argentina, and speaks Spanish.
