Max Scherzer is a Research Associate in Greenberg Quinlan Rosner’s Field Department. Max is responsible for researching and prepping relevant documents and tools before the launch of client research in the field, maintaining and managing communication between vendors and analysts, and allocating resources to guarantee that both quantitative and qualitative projects are completed on time and on budget. In addition, he locates and explores relevant demographic information for upcoming client research, negotiates contracts and sustains vendor relations, and is tasked with assisting and refining research plans to suit client needs.
Prior to joining GQR, Max worked at Open Society Foundations in NYC as an intern in their democracy program and then on a special project to map, catalogue, and chart state security forces in weakly governed countries. He had a brief stint at an international security consulting firm in DC tracking violent non-state actors on social media and writing summaries and briefs on Middle Eastern security. Max received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a focus on Security, the Middle East, and South Asia. Max is a proud Brooklyn boy, born and raised.
