BiographyAlan Quinlan is President of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner. Quinlan provides strategic advice to former House Caucus Chair Rahm Emanuel, and has polled for the DCCC for the past few cycles. Other congressional clients include Representative Jim McGovern as well as former Representatives Bill Hefner, L.F. Payne, and David Bonior. In 2008 Quinlan provided research and advice for a wide variety of party organizations and issue groups. He polled many of the DCCC’s most competitive races and, for the second cycle in a row, was instrumental in the successful campaign to overturn restrictive anti-abortion legislation in South Dakota. At the state level, Quinlan has overseen numerous party-building research programs in Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, where he has provided strategic advice to party organizations and legislative caucuses. His work with the New Jersey Democrats spans over two decades, and has helped the party gain control and grow its majority in the state legislature. For the past seven cycles, he has also provided research and consultation to the Michigan House Democratic Caucus. Quinlan has extensive experience with municipal and mayoral races as well—specifically in diverse urban areas. He has advised numerous municipal leaders including Mayors Richard Daley of Chicago, James Hahn of Los Angeles, Anthony Williams of Washington DC, and RT Rybak of Minneapolis. Quinlan also specializes in providing strategic advice to progressive organizations on issues of public health, energy and the environment. His clients include the League of Conservation Voters, Trust for America’s Health and NARAL Pro-Choice America. He has also worked on environmental regulatory reform for the World Resources Institute.
