Greenberg Quinlan Rosner congratulates Ireland on the historic Irish marriage equality referendum, which passed with 62 percent of the vote. Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Fine Gael–led government were at the forefront of a united coalition of political parties and civil society groups who led Ireland to become the first country to enshrine marriage equality by popular referendum. Despite challenging economic conditions and strong opposition from some institutions, Fine Gael and the Yes campaign produced a robust victory that highlights Ireland’s commitment to equality, justice, and inclusiveness.
Greenberg Quinlan Rosner provided qualitative research and strategic advice. The project was led by partner Jeremy Rosner and vice president Kristi Lowe, and assisted by Kelsey Gustafson and Jiore Craig.
